Elias Brothers Group Celebrates 20 Years In Business

Naples, Fla. (May 6, 2009) – From its humble beginnings as a small, family-owned painting business, Elias Brothers Group has evolved swiftly into one of the most successful and well-respected contractors in Southwest Florida today. The company has been involved in painting, contracting and new construction since 1989 and is pleased to be celebrating its 20th anniversary in business this year.

Israeli immigrant Roni Elias first came to the United States in the mid 1980’s to pursue his American dream. While serving as a soldier in the Israeli Army, he learned of the vast opportunities available in America for those who were willing to take risks, work hard and make sacrifices. After his military discharge, Roni moved to the United States and eventually landed in Naples, where he first worked as a spray man for a painting contractor, learning every aspect of the painting business, while his wife, Maria, attended classes to become a licensed painting contractor. In 1989, the couple started their own small painting business, Elias Brothers Painting, with modest means – a used van, second-hand equipment and simple, word-of-mouth advertising.

 

Their determination paid off quickly. By late 1990, additional family members had joined the business along with a dozen new employees while receiving contracts on painting new construction projects throughout Naples. As expected, something good began to happen - Elias Brothers Painting began receiving an abundance of sizeable projects from building supervisors who had come to regard the company as an organization that both listened to its customers’ expectations and delivered projects ahead of schedule.

 

While the Elias Brothers Painting business continued to grow, Elias Brothers Communities also became a premier real estate developer.  Elias Brothers Communities has developed, built, and sold over 1,000 homes in five new communities in Naples, Florida, which has generated over $230 million in revenue.


In 2007, due to the downturn in the real estate market, the company decided to put two of their planned development communities on hold until the market returns, refocusing attention on strategic growth of the Painting & Contracting Division. This focus resulted in a 30% increase in revenue for 2008. To support this growth the company merged Elias Brothers Communities with Elias Brothers Painting & Waterproofing to become one uniform entity, Elias Brothers Group.
